Visiting the Children’s Home – Development House at Ménfőcsanak – April 2022

This time we visited the development house at Ménfőcsanak that belongs to the Győr-Moson-Sopron County Child Protection Center, where, thanks to our Foundation, we have created a salt room for children where the little ones can heal and strengthen their immune system while playing.

The salt cleanses the lungs and bronchi and provides spectacular development in children with allergies or asthma. With regular visits, hay fever, tracheobronchitis, sinusitis, otitis, vocal cord inflammation and bronchitis can also be treated well. According to research, the salt room also helps hyperactive children: concentration and sleep disorders can be alleviated or even eliminated, and it also has an excellent stress-relieving and relaxing effect.

There are several beneficial physiological effects during and after spending time in the salt room. These effects are mainly due to the Himalayan salt from which the wall of the salt room was built, and the salt sand pit, salt lamps and a special ionizer in the room continuously release salt into the air. As a result, the air in the salt room is free of dust and stimuli, and is highly antiallergic and antibacterial.

Our goal was to create a salt room where children can have fun while healing and strengthening their immune systems.

PROFESSIONAL RESEARCH

The Foundation’s approach is that the basis for effective assistance is professional foundation. To facilitate this, within the framework of a national survey conducted in the years of 2020 and 2021, the Foundation mapped the educational participation of children living in children’s homes, their current education, their further study plans and their vision related to learning and work.
