RELIEF AID TO UKRAINE – MARCH 2022

The country has come together shoulder to shoulder on the issue of Ukrainian refugees. Of course, Gattyán Foundation also contributed several million forints to help them.

This time, our organization supports the children of Transcarpathia who stay on the other side of the border and need acute help due to the war. After contacting the representatives of the region, we were informed about the needs of the children living there. With this donation, we support three kindergartens in Transcarpathia, in the large villages of Drahiv, Zabrid and Zolotariv, as well as an orphanage in Svalyava, a hospital in the Tyachiv district and finally a ward specializing in children in the Bustyno medical center.

The aid consignments contained the largest proportion of durable food, medicines, hygiene and childcare items, but we also took into account the individual needs of the children and included ample toys, colorful blankets and bedding delivered directly to the institutions by our authorized logistics partner.

In addition, the Foundation did not ignore the support of large aid organizations. Together with the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ), we offered another emergency aid worth several million forints, which the Hungarian Red Cross distributed to those in need.

PROFESSIONAL RESEARCH

The Foundation’s approach is that the basis for effective assistance is professional foundation. To facilitate this, within the framework of a national survey conducted in the years of 2020 and 2021, the Foundation mapped the educational participation of children living in children’s homes, their current education, their further study plans and their vision related to learning and work.
