Visit to a Children’s Home – Bokréta Children’s Home Center– May 2022

On the occasion of Children’s Day, we were invited to the Children’s Day celebration at the Bokréta Housing Home, Children’s Home Center and Primary School in Bicske.

The home in a fabulous setting was loud from the hustle and bustle of children. Air castle, chimney cake, sports games and many more programs entertained the kids on this beautiful summer day. To make the programs more colorful, our Foundation also organized a Teqball demonstration, which fortunately attracted children and they took an active part in trying out Teq sports. Of course, the sport was no stranger to them, as they have their own Teqball table and previously also took part in the 1st Teqball Cup between Children’s Homes, which was held in Budapest a few weeks ago.

In addition to expanding the sports opportunities of children living at the home, Gattyán Foundation places great emphasis on providing their education, including the necessary facilities, which are constantly lacking in institutions, thus facilitating the participation and increasing the efficiency of children and educators. To this end, we donated laptops, flash drives and smartphones to the institution.

PROFESSIONAL RESEARCH

The Foundation’s approach is that the basis for effective assistance is professional foundation. To facilitate this, within the framework of a national survey conducted in the years of 2020 and 2021, the Foundation mapped the educational participation of children living in children’s homes, their current education, their further study plans and their vision related to learning and work.
