Donation to the Aranyeső for Families Association – October 2022

In early October, we visited Nyírmada to personally deliver a donation to the Aranyeső for Families Association. Rezső Zsigó, the founder of this organization, and his wife has been providing meaningful support to the Roma community in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County for years. The association aims to foster the cultural and social advancement of the Roma population, while also advocating for the rights and interests of the community. A key focus of their work is strengthening Roma identity through the preservation of Roma culture.

The association actively engages children in sports, with regular football training playing a central role. While the children participate with great enthusiasm, they often face challenges in acquiring the necessary equipment. The Zsigós reached out to our foundation for assistance in providing sportswear for the children. At our foundation, we believe that sports can be a powerful tool for disadvantaged youth, offering both an escape from difficult circumstances and a source of joy. We were therefore delighted to contribute to this initiative. We donated 25 personalized jerseys and 25 pairs of football shoes to the association, which were immediately put to good use. Witnessing the children’s excitement and seeing their smiles was incredibly rewarding. We hope the new equipment not only enhances their training but also fuels their motivation. The Zsigós also shared that they plan to organize more matches and sporting events to further engage the children. We hope that the Zsigó family’s dedication will inspire the children to continue striving for greatness, not just in sports, but in all aspects of life.
