CHRISTMAS DONATION – DECEMBER 2021

This Christmas, Gattyán Foundation tried to bring a smile to the faces of children and their educators doing sacrificial work. Nearly 5,000 children across Hungary receive a donation with a total worth of 50 million Forints, with which we are confident that we will make the everyday life of those living in children’s homes more beautiful and easier.
This time we donate to the children’s homes in a rather unusual way that the heads of institutions, educators and children can decide together on the use of the money offered, what should be put under the Christmas tree. After receiving the gift requests, the Foundation will procure them and send them to the residents of the home as soon as possible.

The colleagues of the Foundation visited all the institutions across Hungary in person to symbolically hand over the amount offered to the heads of the institutions.

PROFESSIONAL RESEARCH

The Foundation’s approach is that the basis for effective assistance is professional foundation. To facilitate this, within the framework of a national survey conducted in the years of 2020 and 2021, the Foundation mapped the educational participation of children living in children’s homes, their current education, their further study plans and their vision related to learning and work.
