Carnival – February 2023

As part of our 2022 Christmas gift initiative, we organized a special Carnival celebration for children from foster homes. From the moment we announced the event, excitement and interest quickly grew. Originally planned for 300 participants, we were thrilled to expand the event to welcome nearly 700 enthusiastic children. Judging by the smiles and energy on February 4, it was clear that increasing the capacity was the right choice.

Children from nearly every child protection center and foster home in the country arrived at the Elevenpark Playhouse in Budapest, which was reserved exclusively for them on this memorable day. In addition to the countless play opportunities, the children were greeted with face painters, artisans, and even a Teqball table. The excitement was palpable as the children and their caregivers quickly filled the space, which echoed with the sound of laughter and lively conversations.

One of the day’s highlights was the much-anticipated costume contest. Many participants took the contest to heart, making it a challenge to select the winners. In the end, we awarded 10 individuals as winners, as well as special recognition to the most creative groups who coordinated their costumes and to the adults who dressed up alongside the children.

Of course, no Carnival is complete without delicious treats, and we made sure to keep the festive spirit alive with an assortment of doughnuts. Despite the high energy, everyone received their share of sweets without any mishaps. And before heading home, each child packed a small bag of treats to take with them, ensuring they left with even more sweet memories.

We hope that this extraordinary day brought lasting joy to the children and that the experience will be cherished for years to come!
