Schooling Support for Disadvantaged Children – June 2024

At the beginning of June, we continued one of our cherished traditions with a visit to Geszt. For several years, our foundation has supported the incoming first graders of this small village in Békés County by providing school bags and equipment. This year, the supplies were handed out during the kindergarten graduation ceremony, where the children, soon to begin school in September, delighted the guests with a charming performance.

In this village of just 800 residents, seven children, three girls and four boys, will start their first year of primary school this fall. The children eagerly received their school bags, and judging by their reactions, the gifts were a big hit.

After the ceremony, we were once again welcomed with warmth and hospitality, allowing us to engage in meaningful conversations with the village’s teachers and mayor about the community’s needs and progress.

We hope that this small contribution helps ease the children’s transition to school and that they begin this new chapter with enthusiasm and joy.
