Teqball Sport Initiative – 2023

We are thrilled to see the growing popularity of Teqball among young people living in foster homes, and we are hopeful that this momentum will continue to build with the exciting programs we have planned for the year ahead.

Last year, some of the top competitors from the Teqball Cups, organized by the Gattyán Foundation for foster homes, were signed by the Infinity Teqball Sports Club. Since then, these young athletes have been eagerly attending training sessions in various cities across the country. Children from Kecskemét, Budapest, and Bicske have proudly received their team jerseys and are now preparing for their first major competition: the junior event at the National Teqball Championship, scheduled for the end of April.

Our Teqball coaching program will also continue this year, as we aim to send more coaches to foster homes, promoting both sports and a healthy lifestyle. Due to weather conditions, training sessions are currently being held indoors, either in the gymnasiums of foster institutions or at Teqball’s headquarters in Budapest. Every Wednesday, our foundation organizes Teqball practices for children living in and around Budapest, and we invite any interested participants to join.

Following the success of last year, we are excited to once again host the Teqball Cups between foster homes. These tournaments have become a much-anticipated event for the young participants. In 2023, we plan to hold at least four regional competitions, and as always, we will include fun and engaging activities alongside the matches to create an unforgettable experience. Children from other regions of the country will also have the opportunity to compete, as we are organizing two national tournaments this spring and summer.

It’s a great time to get familiar with the sport of Teqball and start practicing, as we have many exciting programs and opportunities lined up throughout the year!
