Summer Holiday Experience Grant 2023

We are excited to announce the launch of our Experience Grant, a new initiative designed to support specialized care institutions in children’s homes as they create enriching summer holiday programs. Over the past few years, we have frequently heard from staff at these institutions about the tremendous benefits that camping opportunities could provide for the children. In response to this feedback, we decided to enhance the quality of summer vacations for children in state care, ensuring they can enjoy special recreational experiences that promote both joy and development.

Through this grant, children’s homes could apply for a total of 2 million HUF, with flexibility in how they utilize the funds. We received applications from 21 institutions, each proposing a diverse array of programs. The enthusiasm and dedication of the staff working with these children were evident in their submissions, reflecting their commitment to making the most of this unique opportunity. Given the high caliber of the proposed programs, we faced the delightful challenge of selecting winners. Ultimately, we decided to award grants to seven deserving institutions instead of the initially planned four.

The selected summer programs encompass a variety of exciting activities, including international trips, theater camps, and several local excursions.

We hope this grant will foster countless joyful moments and facilitate the acquisition of new skills, allowing state-supported children to experience carefree, high-quality vacations!
