Garden Grant 2023

This summer, our foundation is excited to support children’s homes in creating meaningful vacation experiences. Building on the success of our Experience Grant, we are proud to introduce our new Garden Grant, designed to encourage institutions to participate in shared outdoor activities. Our aim is to enhance the beauty and usability of children’s home gardens while involving the children in the process. Gardening not only fosters a deeper connection to the community and the environment but also provides children with valuable skills. Through this grant, institutions can apply for up to 200,000 HUF in support, which they can use to improve their gardens.

It was obvious from the submitted applications that both children and adults are eager to engage with their surroundings, whether through planting flowers, creating raised beds, or growing vegetable gardens. While we hope that the joy of gardening itself will inspire the participants, we’ve also introduced a friendly competition as part of the grant. By the end of September, our foundation’s staff will evaluate the individual gardens, and the three teams with the most beautifully maintained gardens will receive special prizes.

We hope the children will enjoy discovering the world of gardening, fostering a deeper connection with nature while experiencing the satisfaction of their hard work.
