Grant Support – August 2023

This spring, our foundation was made aware of a grant opportunity through Crane ChemPharma & Energy’s local subsidiary, XOMOX Hungary Kft. The American parent company has a long-standing commitment to supporting disadvantaged groups, with a particular focus on widows and children.

Recently, the Hungarian subsidiary was given the opportunity to support local organizations, and we are proud to announce that the Gattyán Foundation was selected as a recipient. After a thorough evaluation process, we were thrilled to learn that the American decision-makers also recognized our work, awarding our foundation a generous $5,000 grant.

The official award ceremony was held in Székesfehérvár, where we had the privilege of meeting the other selected organizations and learning about their inspiring work. During the event, each of the five winning applicants had the opportunity to present how they plan to use the awarded funds. Our foundation will utilize this grant to support drug prevention programs, sexual education, and the education of disadvantaged children in children’s homes. Additionally, we will complement this funding with our own talent development scholarship for gifted children living in state care.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Crane Foundation for their generous support and dedication to improving the lives of children in state-supported care.
