Teqball Table Donation to the Municipality of Kemestaródfa – July 2022

The Gattyán Foundation places a strong emphasis on promoting healthy lifestyles for children through regular physical activity, as it is essential for both physical and mental well-being.

Through our close relationships with children’s homes across Hungary, we connected with the small border village of Kemestaródfa, where we helped revitalize the local sports community by donating a Teqball table. The village is located near several children’s homes that frequently host camps for children from neighboring areas and from Austria.

Kemestaródfa, a peaceful village near Hungary’s western border, has seen steady growth in recent years, with more large businesses settling in the area. This has attracted families and led to an increase in the local population. According to the mayor, more children are being raised in this tranquil environment, and the village leadership is committed to offering as many outdoor activities as possible. Teqball was already known in the community, with both the mayor and many residents being enthusiastic supporters of the sport.

The donation ceremony was a joyful occasion held during one of the village’s major events, Village Day. After the official handover, Teqball instructors gave a demonstration, teaching attendees the rules of the game and introducing other Teq sports. Despite the hot weather, several residents were eager to try it out. Given the enthusiasm and engagement of both village leaders and residents, we are confident that this new sports equipment will be appreciated by the community.
