Visiting Children’s Homes – József Attila Children’s Home Center – July 2022

In July 2022, we had the opportunity to deliver our donations to the József Attila Children’s Home Center in Budapest, a place we have visited frequently in recent months. As part of our ongoing support, we introduced our Home Garden initiative to the Gyöngyvirág Children’s Home, located in the 18th district, where we assisted in enhancing their large garden based on the principles of permaculture. Throughout this collaborative effort, we were delighted to witness the vibrant community life that flourishes there, with the staff actively striving to provide a variety of enriching activities for the children. We were particularly pleased to see the growing popularity of Teqball within the home. Several boys from the Gyöngyvirág Children’s Home have been joining our training sessions regularly, and their dedication has yielded impressive results—culminating in a podium finish at the Teqball Cup in April.

With the latest donation of 1.5 million forints, the institution’s primary focus was on improving the living environment for the children. Their requests included cabinets, dining tables, chairs, and a full dining set. Additionally, they received some essential IT equipment, such as tablets and headphones, to further support the children’s educational and recreational needs.
