TEQ Training in Children’s Homes – 2022

The Gattyán Foundation’s sports program, launched last year, continues to thrive. The Teqball tables donated to various institutions are regularly enjoyed by residents with a passion for sports. Participating in sports offers valuable opportunities for children’s physical and mental development, which is why one of the Foundation’s primary goals is to encourage children living in these homes to actively engage in sports activities.

Since the introduction of the Teqball coaching program in 2021, we have been providing coaches to several institutions to offer regular training sessions multiple times a week. The goal of this nationwide initiative is to gradually expand coaching support to more institutions each year, helping to enhance the children’s skills and perseverance. This program also prepares them for the upcoming Teqball Cups held among children’s homes. The shared enthusiasm for sports and the community-building nature of the training sessions helps to build a strong bond between the coaches and the children, making Teqball an integral part of their daily routines.

We are pleased to note that Teqball training is now available beyond the institutions in certain towns, offered through local or nearby clubs. These sessions are increasingly drawing in sports-loving boys and girls from the children’s homes, demonstrating that integration through sports is highly effective. Such integrated training opportunities are already available in Budapest and Kecskemét.
