Visiting Children’s Homes – Budapest Sztehlo Gábor Children’s Home and Shelter for Children with Disabilities – June 2022

We also had the opportunity to visit the headquarters of the Budapest Sztehlo Gábor Children’s Home and the Shelter for Children with Disabilities to deliver our donations. Their special children’s home is housed in a beautiful building, where infants and preschoolers live, and meeting the little ones brought us great joy. The director and the head of the home warmly shared insights into their daily work and the challenges they face. They thoughtfully selected donations to support both the children and the staff. Since their facilities care for children of all ages, the donations included suction devices, sports equipment, bedding, furniture, and refrigerators. Additionally, we were able to enhance their work processes by providing tablets, office supplies, SSD cards, and external hard drives.

The institution has long served as a home for children with disabilities, and with their needs in mind, they requested special, sturdy chairs from our foundation. Recently, the institution organized an academic competition between children’s homes, which several Budapest homes eagerly participated in. The director shared that the event had a very positive atmosphere and was enjoyed by both the children and the adults involved, so they hope to make it an annual tradition. The winning team was awarded tablets, which were also donated by our foundation.
