Training Programs for Children’s Home Staff – March 12, 2025“Problematic Children – Problematic Situations” – Prevention and Intervention Options
2025. March 20.
This year, we continue our highly popular educational program, which provides free professional training opportunities for staff working in children’s homes. Each training day focuses on topics closely related to their everyday work—areas where gaining deeper knowledge can greatly support them in their roles.
The first session took place in mid-March at our usual venue, the headquarters of the Docler Holding Group. The topic of the day attracted significant interest, with a total of 90 children’s home professionals attending from institutions across the country.
The day began with a thought-provoking lecture by Éva Rambala, who spoke about nonviolent communication. She was followed by Blanka Baranyai, an expert from the Blue Line Child Crisis Foundation, who shared insights on the methodology of helping conversations and crisis intervention, grounded in her extensive field experience.
We concluded the first half of the program with a presentation by Dr. Erzsébet Hatvani, Deputy Director of the Rákospalota Reformatory and Central Special Children’s Home, along with her colleagues Júlia Treszkán and Csaba Baksay. Their session focused strongly on practical application—specifically, on how experiential education can be effectively integrated into the environment of special children’s homes and reformatory institutions.
After the lunch break, psychologist Tamás Földi, who himself works actively in several child protection institutions, explored the topics of aggression and assertiveness. His lecture highlighted numerous everyday situations that pose challenges for staff members in their daily work.
Based on the feedback we received, participants once again found the training highly valuable and appreciated the opportunity to acquire new knowledge. We hope these insights will greatly support them in their fieldwork and that we will continue to welcome many dedicated child protection professionals at our upcoming training sessions.
