Leadership Conference – May 2025
2025. May 29.
This year, for the first time, we organized our Leadership Conference, inviting the directors of all state-run child protection and children’s home centers from across the country. Our primary goal was to offer training sessions that could support them in navigating the many challenges of leadership in the child protection sector. Additionally, we wanted to provide an opportunity for participants to meet one another, exchange experiences informally, and relax in a supportive environment.
The event was hosted once again at the exclusive Normafa Hotel, owned by the Docler Holding Group, offering a peaceful setting that was easily accessible for all participants.
The professional program began with a lecture by Nicolett Lőrincz, who led the Bokréta Children’s Home Center in Budapest for many years and currently teaches at Semmelweis University. Her presentation focused in detail on intergenerational cooperation and the dynamics of motivation. She was followed by Dr. Annamária Töreki, burnout trainer and health psychologist, who shared her expertise on burnout and well-being.
After the lunch break, the afternoon continued with a presentation by two corporate restructuring experts from Adequatus Kft., Csilla Mangol and Katalin Weisz, who have spent decades helping organizations operate more efficiently and successfully. Their talk focused on how to lead proactively even under the often demanding conditions of child protection work.
The professional program concluded with an interactive roundtable discussion, where participants shared best practices from their institutions and explored potential solutions to common challenges.
After the intensive training sessions, attendees could unwind in the hotel’s wellness area following dinner. In addition to the jacuzzi and yoga, they had the opportunity to try gong meditation and sauna rituals. Those interested could end the evening with a true cinema experience by watching the French biographical drama Sugar and Stars.
We were delighted that 26 of our 28 partner institutions were represented at the conference, ensuring that participants could benefit from a truly meaningful and informative program.
