Experience Grant 2025 – Summer Holiday of the Baranya County Child Protection Center
2025. July 18.
Our Experience Grant, now in its third year, had already begun by mid-July, with the first holiday program organized for the team from Baranya County.
The Child Protection Center wished to provide a special summer vacation for two of its professional units, both of which care for children with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. They chose the village of Dávod as their holiday destination, home to a therapeutic spa perfectly suited for both recreation and development for children with special needs. The playgrounds and equipment located within the spa grounds support motor development, balance, coordination, and creativity. They also offer excellent opportunities for strengthening social skills and practicing interaction, allowing the children to connect with their peers. The area is fully accessible, enabling children with limited mobility to enjoy the pools just as happily as the others.
Throughout the camp, in addition to fun and relaxation, special emphasis was placed on motor development as well as improving neurological and fine motor abilities.
As in previous years, we personally visited the camp. On the day of our visit, the children had just returned from one of their most active activities—a 10-kilometer hike. Based on the caregivers’ feedback, the children thoroughly enjoyed the programs, and the educators also highlighted how thoughtful and attentive they were toward one another.
