Experience Grant 2024 – Tisza Lake Adventure

At the beginning of August, a group from the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Child Protection Center enjoyed a special holiday made possible through our Experience Grant. The children selected for this unique summer program were chosen from four groups from the children’s home, based on their academic achievements and positive behavior.

The team, consisting of 24 children and 4 adults, spent six exciting days exploring the beautiful Tisza Lake region. Their accommodation in Poroszló offered a variety of entertainment options, including private pools, playgrounds, and sports facilities. The

organizers put together a well-rounded program filled with memorable activities, including a visit to the Tisza Lake Ecocenter, a boat trip on the lake, and an introduction to the local wildlife. One of the highlights was a full day at the water amusement park in Sarud, where the children had a blast at Central Europe’s largest water playground, enjoying thrilling games and endless fun.

We had the pleasure of visiting the campers as they excitedly prepared for a day of bowling and indulging in delicious cake.

It was heartwarming to meet the young campers and the dedicated staff from the children’s home, who clearly poured their hearts into making this holiday an unforgettable experience. According to feedback, the children behaved wonderfully throughout the trip and truly appreciated the opportunity to enjoy such a special getaway.
