Children’s Home Girls’ Club 2025

This year, we launched the “Children’s Home Girls’ Club” program, offering regular group sessions for girls growing up in children’s homes. These sessions provide both valuable information and an enjoyable experience, creating a supportive environment where they can both learn and have fun. One of the most pressing challenges for girls removed from their families is the lack of healthy female role models, which often contributes to risky and self-destructive behaviors.

To address this, our program places a strong emphasis on topics such as self-image, self-awareness, body confidence, personal hygiene, and mindful life management. Our approach is interactive and trust-based, rather than traditional instruction, we engage with the girls through discussions and activities tailored to their interests. We strive to make each session a special experience, providing individual attention and incorporating engaging activities such as makeup application and styling, which help break the ice and encourage participation.

The first session took place at the end of January in one of Budapest’s care units, with eight teenage girls in attendance. Since this initial meeting focused on building trust and connection, we selected a topic that would genuinely interest them. We invited a professional makeup artist who not only emphasized the importance of hygiene and skincare routines but also introduced facial yoga exercises. After determining their individual skin types, the girls were treated to a daytime makeup session, which they enthusiastically embraced. To further support their learning, our foundation provided each participant with a starter skincare kit, enabling them to apply their newfound knowledge in their daily lives.
