Carnival Celebration – February 2025

This February, we once again hosted our beloved Carnival celebration, a much-anticipated event for children’s homes. Serving as a “delayed” Christmas gift, this initiative gives children a special experience outside the hectic holiday season. Since December is an especially busy time for these institutions, we intentionally schedule the event in February to ease their workload. Based on feedback from the homes, this timing is truly appreciated, as it gives the children another exciting event to look forward to.

To ensure accessibility for all state-run child protection centers across the country, we carefully selected a convenient venue for participants traveling from different regions. This year, the Kölyökvadon Playhouse graciously hosted the event, providing not only a variety of fun games but also a one-of-a-kind opportunity for the children to interact with animals up close.

With nearly 300 children in attendance, our goal was to create a day filled with joy, adventure, and unforgettable memories. The morning kicked off with free play sessions and interactive activities led by enthusiastic hosts. After lunch, the highlight of the day began: the costume contest. It was heartwarming to see the children’s excitement and creativity, as they had clearly put great effort into their imaginative costumes. After the award ceremony, the children got to enjoy a fascinating animal showcase, where the bravest among them even had the chance to hold a snake around their necks!

Of course, no carnival celebration would be complete without traditional carnival doughnuts—and we made sure there were plenty, not just for the attendees but also for those back at their homes. As the day wrapped up, the children left with cherished memories, fun snapshots from the photo wall, and a small farewell gift to remember the experience.

Seeing the pure joy and excitement on their faces once again was incredibly rewarding. We truly hope that every child who joined us had a magical day filled with laughter, adventure, and unforgettable moments!
