Supporting Disadvantaged Children – St. Nicholas Gift Packages for the Dr. Ámbédkar School – December 2025

For many years, our Foundation has supported the operation of the Dr. Ámbédkar School in Miskolc, as we consider its mission to be extremely important. The institution is a second-chance school that strives to provide students with learning opportunities that give them a real chance to break out of deep poverty. The school approaches its students with a deep understanding of their socio-cultural background, in a way that is truly unique, and the genuine commitment of every staff member is clearly felt. At the school, students receive education that is reliable both on a human and professional level, and for many of them, the institution also serves as a second home.

Despite its highly commendable work, the school is eligible for only minimal state funding, and the majority of its operations are financed through donations. Over the past years, we have supported their work in various ways, depending on what was most useful for them in a given situation. The school places great emphasis on celebrating special occasions together with the students, thereby also supporting their social integration. This December, our Foundation once again undertook to support the school with the required 70 St. Nicholas gift packages, ensuring that disadvantaged young people would also receive a present.

According to the school’s report, their St. Nicholas celebration was once again held in a wonderful atmosphere, and the students received the surprise packages with sincere joy.
