2nd Drug Prevention and Sexual Education Training Day – November 2025
2025. November 28.
Following the successful event held in May, our 2nd Drug Prevention and Sexual Education Training Day took place at the end of November. The theme and venue of the combined professional day remained unchanged, and once again we welcomed more than 70 child protection professionals attending the training at the Normafa Hotel.
On this occasion, the program began with the SzexEd team, who, after a short introductory presentation, held a three-hour small-group workshop for participants. The dedicated team of sex psychologists—who regularly deliver training sessions in educational and child protection institutions—once again placed a strong emphasis on practical experience. During the group sessions, issues were highlighted that pose some of the greatest challenges for professionals working in the field.
After the intensive morning program, everyone welcomed the opportunity to recharge with a delicious lunch in the hotel restaurant, as well as to connect with colleagues arriving from various institutions.
In the afternoon, the program continued with a drug prevention lecture by Dániel Varga, which once again was very well received by participants. Dani, who is also the lead facilitator of the Köztes Átmenetek interactive exhibition, has more than 20 years of professional experience in the field and regularly works directly with disadvantaged young people. As a result, his presentation raised many issues that professionals working in children’s homes face on a daily basis. Participants also had the opportunity to reflect on these topics together during the professional roundtable discussion following the lecture.
Fortunately, participants once again felt that this training day filled an important gap, providing useful knowledge that can be applied in real-life situations. We are delighted that across the two events, a total of 150 child protection professionals have now taken part, approaching the full-day professional program with openness and active engagement.
