End-of-Summer Camp – August 2025
2025. August 28.
Following our large-scale 2020 summer camp initiative—which included several sessions and involved nearly 700 children—we once again invited young people from children’s homes across the country to take part in a summer camp organized entirely by our Foundation.
The goal of our End-of-Summer Camp was to offer the children a joyful and carefree experience before the start of the school year—one in which they could both have fun and grow through playful learning. We were supported by two expert organizations, Élményakadémia and Konnekt Egyesület, whose professional knowledge and experience ensured high-quality sessions for the children.
The 100 participants took part each day in activities tailored to their interests and designed to support their personal development. Naturally, we also wanted the children to enjoy the unique setting offered by the Normafa Hotel. In addition to using the pool and jacuzzi daily, we dedicated an entire day to exploring the hotel’s surroundings. For many of the children—most of whom came from rural homes—the children’s railway and the panoramic views of Normafa and its lookouts were an especially memorable highlight.
Across the five-day camp, we planned the afternoon and evening programs so that every participant between the ages of 10 and 16 could find something they enjoyed. In addition to swimming, the children could take part in crafts, movie nights, Teqball sessions, yoga, and endless board games. One evening concluded with a lively grill party, where not only delicious food and picnicking created a festive atmosphere, but the Romano Glaszo band also performed. The traditional Roma music group even led a dance session, turning the evening into a full celebration. And since musical programs are always a favorite among the children, we were delighted to welcome István László Czikora, artist of the Operetta Theatre, whose musical session was an absolute hit with everyone.
We are very happy that the children truly enjoyed themselves at the camp and took part enthusiastically in every activity. They relaxed quickly, forming many new friendships over the week. At the end of the camp, they said goodbye to one another with a mix of sadness and joy—and it is no exaggeration to say that they went home with unforgettable memories.
